Description
Strange and fearsome beasts were believed to inhabit the desert wastes and fringes of Egypt. Among them were the Criosphinx and Heiracosphinx. The criosphinx had the head of a ram and the body of a lion, while the heiracosphinx had the head of a falcon and a lion’s body. These figures were sculpted by Andy Pieper and painted by Paul Sanderson.
