Description
Board games were a popular past time with the Ancient Egyptians especially senet or ‘The Game of Passing’. Senet was played on a rectangular board divided into 30 squares (arranged in 3 rows of 10). Each player had 7 pawns and moved these across the board according to the throw of knuckle-bones or throw sticks. The object of the game was to move all of your pawns off the board. The senet vignette was sculpted by David Soderquist and painted by Paul Sanderson. (The senet set does not come with a base and the 3 piece table requires assembly)
